Announcing Wednesday Socials: Chapter 1 from Community of Grace: Falling Dominoes

This week’s chapter from our book club offers the story of a community’s growth together and how God is directing the community in both its mundane and liturgical life to be a more intentional. This makes me think, what is our community’s collective story? How is God directed us to be at St. Mary’s? Is it just because this is where we happen to go to church, or are we aware of God calling us together for a special purpose, which only we can fulfill.

Fr. Michael and I are so convinced that to do God’s work together we need to enjoy the presence of one another, to grow in our knowledge of community needs and gifts. If this is important to you, please consider joining us every Wed. evening for Divine Liturgy followed by fellowship. We envision a community fire and agape potluck, so if you can, bring some food, and BYOB (bring your own beer/beverage of choice).        –Fr. Nathan Symeon

BISHOP’S APPEAL

The annual Eparchial Appeal is underway! You should have received an envelope from Phoenix by mail. If you did not receive one, please contact Fr. Michael.

Donations can be made online: https://ephx.org/eparchial-appeal/

Our goal is to have 100% participation this year. All donations are welcome.

Thank you for your generosity!

UPCOMING SPECIAL COLLECTION

April 25th is the special collection for the Catholic Home Missions. The appeal is used to fund a wide range of pastoral services, including evangelization, religious education, and the maintenance of mission parishes, the training of seminarians and lay ministers, and ministry with ethnic groups.

“If you forgive anyone’s sins, they are forgiven…” The priestly life is a beautiful way to bring forgiveness to this world. Is God calling you to consider this life, other holy orders, or the monastic life of prayer, fasting and almsgiving? Contact the Vocations Office at 206-329-9219 or email: vocations@ephx.org
